The Start-up Visa Program in Canada seeks immigrant entrepreneurs with the abilities and ability to start firms in Canada that are:
Do you have a novel business concept? If one of the recognized groups supports your concept, you may be allowed to immigrate to Canada.
To be eligible for the Start-up Visa Program, you must satisfy the following conditions:
A qualified business is one that fits the following criteria:
This company is registered in Canada.
A letter of support from a specified organization is required (a business group that has been approved to invest in or support possible start-ups).
Every organization has its own set of criteria. You may be requested to demonstrate your company concept in person or to submit a complete business plan, for example.
A letter of support will be sent to you if you achieve an agreement with a designated group.
The organization will also provide us with a commitment certificate. We’ll evaluate your application using both your letter of support and the organization’s commitment certificate. Please keep in mind that we may need further business information from you before making a final decision on your application.
We will reject your application if you do not provide a letter of support or fulfill any of the other conditions.
The capacity to communicate and operate in English, French or both languages will benefit your Canadian business.
We will not accept your application unless you take a language test from an approved organization and provide the results.
You must achieve at least the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 5 in either English or French in all four areas:
The Canadian government does not provide financial assistance to new start-up visa immigrants.
When you apply, you must demonstrate that you have enough money to sustain yourself and your dependents after you arrive in Canada. You cannot borrow this money from anybody else.
